This was inspired from when I was voluntarily working at a graphic design company in Newcastle city centre. The orginal idea was used for a printing company called STATEX COLOUR PRINT. The theory behind colour was that sometimes in life situations, art, sport, cultures etc etc is just plain old black and white.
I used this idea and applied it to the football team that I support, whose team colours are black and white. Newcastle United are know as the following; The Black and White Army and The Magpies, for obvious reason. So no matter how colourful life is when you support The Toon Army, it’s just in black and white.
The only way to describe the passion of a Geordie and the colours we represent is this. ‘If you cut a Geordie wide open our blood doesn’t run red, IT’S BLACK AND WHITE’.
